US President Donald Trump has reportedly paused new military strikes on Iran after 13 days of operations. Diplomatic efforts and defence concerns are believed to be the main reasons behind the decision.

Washington DC, July 26.US President Donald Trump has reportedly ordered a temporary halt to fresh military strikes against Iran after 13 consecutive days of military operations. According to multiple American media reports, the decision was taken to create room for diplomatic negotiations while preventing further escalation in the Middle East.

Sources say the US military had plans for additional strikes, but the President directed defence officials to suspend new operations for the time being. The move is being viewed as an effort to encourage dialogue with Tehran while keeping military options available if the security situation changes.

Officials have indicated that the United States remains fully prepared to restart military action if Iran threatens American interests, attacks allied nations or increases military activities in the Strait of Hormuz.

Reports also suggest that President Trump believes the current military campaign has achieved its immediate objectives and that expanding the operation could trigger a much wider regional conflict. He has expressed hope that continued diplomatic engagement may produce a negotiated solution.

Another important reason behind the decision is concern over the growing pressure on the US missile defence system. Senior military officials reportedly warned that prolonged operations could significantly reduce the stock of Patriot interceptor missiles and other key defence resources required to protect American forces and allies in the region.

Although military operations have been paused, diplomatic contacts between Washington and Tehran are reportedly continuing. The US administration has made it clear that future decisions will depend on developments in the region and the outcome of ongoing negotiations.

Special Comment:

The temporary pause in military operations does not necessarily mean that tensions between the United States and Iran have ended. Instead, it appears to be a strategic move to balance military preparedness with diplomatic efforts. The coming days will be crucial in determining whether negotiations succeed or military action resumes.
